Hump-ty Dump. Hump Hump De Dump-ty Dump-ty

Life has been anything but calm these past few months.  I’ve been vaguely sharing some tid bits with you and now that it's confesh sesh Wednesday with Kathy I gotta jump in.

1.  I didn’t go to New York this weekend.  I had every intention of going with my girl Mel but something came up and I totally get it so last, last minute we didn’t end up going.  It would have been 20 hours of driving in a weekend.  That makes me tired just thinking about it so I was almost kinda happy not to do all that driving.  I know it would have been fun road tripping and getting to see my friends and family but it’s just too much for a weekend.

2.  I went jet skiing over the weekend and I just can't stop thinking about it!  GIVE ME MORE!

3.  My middle brother got married on Sunday and I didn’t go, as well as a few other family members.  Hence my reason for trying to go to New York because that’s where the wedding was taking place.  Now I’m sure a lot of you are thinking a)” you didn’t go to your brother’s wedding?” b) “How could you miss that?” c) “Aren’t you going to regret not being there?”  It’s all a long, complicated, clusterfuck of a shit show story that could be a reality tv show, I have been avoiding sharing, which I’m still going to avoid.  Maybe someday I will but for now I’m just upset about the whole situation and hoping someday that my family can get through all of this.

4.  I’ve been trying to plan a vacation for me and the man but sometimes planning a vacation with him is the hardest flipping thing ever.  He’s not a planner and doesn’t like to make decisions.  Me, I love to have things planned out and semi know what the hell is going on, not like OCD status or anything. Like him I don’t necessarily like to make the final decision without his approval, as in "YEA THAT SOUNDS GREAT BABE THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PLANNING".  Last night I tried to get it all together and spent hours looking up places to go, stay and do which was basically a waste.  From now on I’m just going to book it and just not even bother tell him what the plan is till it’s actually time to leave for the vacation.

5.  The other night Phil woke me up THREE different times because I was snoring so loud.  Talk about embarrassing.  Isn’t it usually the guy that snores so loud that it keeps the women up?  I have to wear breath right strips but sometimes I forget to put them on, like the other night and not to mention it gets expensive when you have to wear those all night.  Poor boyfriend, the things he puts up with! :)

6.  To end on some super exciting news I have accepted a new opportunity and will be leaving my current job.  I’m excited most about not having to commute two hours every day!! I feel like I will have a whole new life Monday thru Friday because I won’t be sitting in the car for 10 hours.  I’m super sad to say goodbye to the people that I currently work with but this is the best thing for me right now.

Confessions Round 2

It’s confess shesh time.

1.  I confess that sometimes I make myself look like an idiot.  For those that don't know my degree is in Outdoor Recreation.  One day in class we were playing this chicken evolution game, yea that's for another day anyways, moving on, someone had said something about chickens flying and I blurted out "Big Bird can't fly," realizing that Big Bird in fact is not a chicken but a bird.  It was embarrassing so the rest of the semester I was nicknamed Big Bird.  Hey, at least I can find humor in my idiotic moments.

2.  I confess that I’m the type of person who needs to know what’s next.  I get all caught up in stuff that hasn’t happened yet.  For example, when are we getting engaged, married, babies or what’s our plans for the summer.  I do this because I like to have things to look forward to/plan but I often forget that what’s happening now is just as good.  I was reminded by my bestest that I’ve got a great thing going on now and need to remember to enjoy it and not rush myself to the finish line.  In 10 years I’ll be wishing I was where I am now.  So this is a reminder to myself, “Meg, live for right now and enjoy the moments you have.”

3.  I confess that yesterday I had the worst PMS and wished that this lady who was riding my ass and passed me would get pulled over.  Also people, use your flipping turn signals.  Drives me bonkers!  Thanks to my bff that lives all the way in Boston I got to vent it all out.  See friends just understand.

4.  I confess that I really miss my camera.  For those that don’t know I broke it when I was in DC taking pictures of my friends dog.  The dog might have ran into my camera, which might have gave me a huge bump on my forehead.  It’s out for repairs and I feel like another part of me is missing even though I only had the thing for a week.  SMH.  Good thing the bf knows me and the camera is under warranty.

5.  I confess that I always take my phone into the bathroom with me at work and people must think that I take a lot of number 2’s because I am in the b-room for so long just scrolling through twitter or facebook.  Heck sometimes I read a few blogs even.  Ooops.

6.  I confess that I am really flipping excited to meet some bloggers this spring/summer but I also feel like I’m going on a first date.  Holy sweaty pits right now ;)

7.  I confess that I have started about 5 different cleanses and have not been able to finish one of them.  It might just be the hardest thing on my 101 Days in 1001 Days list to cross off.

Peace friends oh and a special shout out to my girl over at The Rachel Emily Blog, HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY!

Hump Day Confessions

It's hump day and I have been meaning to jump on this whole Hump Day Confession thing.  I've got a lot on my mind and today couldn't be more perfect to confess.

I confess that I haven't worn deodorant in over two months.  I don't do this on purpose and admit it's pretty fucking gross especially since I workout 4 days a week. But since it's been so cold I don't really need it.  I usually am a regular deodorant applier but somehow it just got lost in my morning routine. Besides, it does keep the creeps away.  Okay, okay I'll go put deodorant on.

I confess that my car is a mess.  I could seriously live out of the thing.  It's a moving closet/fridge.  But I mean I do commute to work so I spend a lot of time in my car.  I've got coats, scarfs, boots, cups, spoons, wrapping paper, gosh you name it and I probably have it in my car.  It's gross.  I'm actually embarrassed to have people in my car.  Thankfully it is starting to get warmer out so I will NEED to spend the day cleaning it.

I confess that I get scared when I am home alone.  I'm so used to having Phil home that I just feel safer when he is home.  I let Dragon sleep with me in bed when he's gone and she usually sleeps on top of me because I swear she knows I'm scared.  Pup, knows how to protect.  She's a keeper.

I confess that I need a weekend away from my Town/Indiana.  Either one of those would be fine.  It’s no secret that I don’t love the area that I live in but it makes it all worth it because I get to be close to Phil.  And it is growing on me but getting away just helps my sanity because I love new places and trying out different restaurants.  I mean we all know how much I love food.

I confess that I am freaking out about turning 25 this month.  Yes, I know it’s not old but for some reason I’m really struggling with turning 25.  It’s one of those big milestone ages, you’ve been on this earth for a quarter of a century, like ahhhhhh!  I’m really a grown up.  Maybe it’s because growing up I thought I would have my life figured out by now and well, I am nowhere near close.  And not to mention I am getting wrinkles around my eyes!  I am not okay with this.  I probably won’t be one of those people that embraces getting older.  Keep me young please, k thanks!  Where are the youth fountains?

I confess that I haven’t been making much effort with this blog of mine.  With being sick and just exhausted lately when I get home I just have zero motivation to do anything.  Take last night for instance.  I went to the grocery right after work, got home at 7 and by the time I unloaded everything, made dinner, ate and washed the dishes it was 9 o’clock!  I just went straight to bed. And on other nights I workout and get home at the same time and go through the same routine.  How do people do it all?

Back in the day with the sister when grocery shopping was actually fun!

I confess that I am upset that my brother Sean announced his engagement/marriage via Facebook before telling anyone in the family and on April Fools day.  I legit thought it was a sick joke, like who would fall for that one.  But come to find out it is somewhat true.  I mean somewhat true in that the marriage part was a joke but they really did get engaged.  Who puts that on Facebook on April Fools if it’s true?  It’s just a rule, you don’t do that.   I’m sad as a sister that he wouldn’t share the news with me via the phone (he lives in NY).  I couldn’t sleep last night because I was so upset.  And of course I am happy for them.  It means the world to me to see him in such a good and happy place in his life.  Have a mentioned I haven’t met her? Okay, so I haven’t mentioned that yet, so yea I haven’t met her yet because they have only been dating for a few months!  I’m in shock.  I honestly don’t know what to think or say.  Am I being selfish for feeling this way?

Here's to letting it out there.  Now go link up with Kathy @ Vodka and Soda for Hump Day Confessions!
